The Parish Council Precept is a tax charged on each property in the parish to fund the parish council. It is used to fund all the activities that the parish council undertakes for the benefit of the community.

The precept requirement is set by the parish council in January each year.

Harborough District Council collects the precept tax on behalf of North Kilworth Parish Council as part of their council tax collection. The precept tax is then paid to North Kilworth Parish Council in two instalments (April and September).
